What your child does
A picture appears with a speaker button to hear its name, and your child taps one of three words. The wrong choices start with the same letter or have the same length, so kids have to read the whole word.
The skill it builds
Reading short, medium and long words, from cat and web to pumpkin and cupcake. If an answer is off, the cat points out what is different, like looking at the end of the word too.
The game's listing notes align it to Common Core L.1.6, L.K.6, RF.1.3, RF.K.3.
