What your child does
The cat asks a question like "Which pumpkin pie is cut into fourths?" and three treats appear, each cut into parts. The tricky ones have the right number of pieces but unequal sizes, or equal pieces but the wrong number, so your child checks both.
The skill it builds
Equal shares: halves, thirds and fourths, where every part must be the same size. If an answer is off, the cat numbers the parts and explains what is not fair about them. A reminder strip shows halves = 2, thirds = 3, fourths = 4.
The game's listing notes align it to Common Core 1.G.A.3, 2.G.A.3.
