What your child does
The tree starts full, some apples fall into the basket, and the number sentence appears, like 7 − 3 = ?. Your child can tap the apples still on the tree to count them, and each count is read aloud. The last level covers the basket so they find the missing number.
The skill it builds
Subtraction within 5, 10 and 20, and missing numbers (10 − ? = 6). In bigger levels the apples sit in rows of 5 for quick counting. If an answer is off, the cat says to count the apples still on the tree.
