What your child does
Your child counts bags of ten and loose acorns to find how many in all, then says how many tens or ones a number has. In the last level they build the number by tapping + bag of 10 and + 1 acorn.
The skill it builds
Place value: a two-digit number is made of tens and ones, and 10 ones make one ten. If an answer is off, the cat explains the tens digit and the ones digit.
The game's listing notes align it to Common Core 1.NBT.B.2, 1.NBT.B.2.A, 2.NBT.A.1.
