What your child does
A sentence is shown and read aloud, like "A dog can bark." or "A pig wears a crown and rules a castle." Your child taps REAL or PRETEND. In the last level they read three sentences and find the real one, or the pretend one.
The skill it builds
Telling what could really happen from make-believe, an early reading comprehension skill. If an answer is off, the cat explains why, like "Dogs can't drive. Only in stories!"
The game's listing notes align it to Common Core RL.1.5, RL.K.1, RL.K.5.
