What your child does
Build It shows two word blocks, like we + are, and your child picks the contraction. Take It Apart shows one like won't and they pick the two words. Use It shows a sentence with a blank. The apostrophe is a hard-hat tool that fills the spot where letters came out.

Contractions and the apostrophe. If an answer is off, the cat suggests saying the words fast, or finding where letters were taken out.
