What your child does
The cat asks "Which is heavier?" or "Which is lighter?" about things like a feather, an apple, a watermelon or an elephant. In Read the Scale your child taps the heavier or lighter box. In Balance with Cubes they add and remove cubes until the scale is level.
The skill it builds
Comparing weight and measuring with cubes. If an answer is off, the cat explains that the heavier side goes down, like a seesaw.
